Jacqueline McLeroy, 83, of Lubbock, formerly of Dimmitt, passed away on June 8, 2010 in Lubbock.
Jacqueline McLeroy was born on June 3, 1927 in Cushing, OK to Edward Hugh and Mary Rose Small. After graduating high school in Abilene, she attended and graduated from Texas Tech University. She then taught school in Dimmitt for 25 years until her retirement. She married Edd C. McLeroy on Oct 1949, in Las Angeles, CA on the Bride and Groom Radio Program. While living in Dimmitt she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member of the Hospital Auxillary, and member of the Friendship Quilters Guild of Dimmitt. She moved to Lubbock in 1995.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn Stone and husband Roy of Hale Center, and Judy Gray and husband Benny of Lubbock, 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Gray of Lewisville, Ty Gray, and Julie Gray, both of Lubbock, and 1 great grandson, Bradley Gray of Lubbock.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edd C. McLeroy in 1992 and 1 sister Mary Rose Bell in 1981 and her parents.
