George A. Johnson, 69, of Dimmitt, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 in Dimmitt. Memorial service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 5:00PM at his residence in Dimmitt with Leroy Maxwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.
George was born on January 22, 1943 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to George and Elsie Johnson. He was raised in Wyoming then moved to Dimmitt in 2003 after a career in Engineering. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by one son, Brandon Johnson, one daughter, Sonya Johnson, a sister-in-law, Peggy West and husband Richard of Dimmitt, and a brother-in-law, Earl Ervin and wife Beverly of Elgin, Texas, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marcy Ervin Johnson.
