Adelaida "Adelita" Bojorquez, 56, formally of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 in Pecos, Texas. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow at Castro Memorial Gardens in Dimmitt, Texas under the personal direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Due to COVID-19 all attendees will be required to wear a mask provided by you throughout the service.
Adelita was born on September 15, 1964 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Angela (Quezada) and Mateo Porras Corrales. Adelita married Lazaro Bojorquez in Dimmitt in 1999. She attended Sunday Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt. She loved to babysit her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Adelita was an amazing cook and also a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Felicitas Porras, Gabriela Porras and Erlinda Porras.
She is survived by her husband; Lazaro Bojorquez of Pecos, her children; Gerardo Mateo Bojorquez and wife Cindy of Pecos, Beatriz Adriana Bojorquez and husband Jesus of Pecos and Lazaro Bojorquez Porras Jr. and wife Jacqueline of Pecos, her brother and sisters; Margarita Porras of Oklahoma, Faustino Porras of Dimmitt, Ernesto Porras of Dimmitt, Victor Porras of Dimmitt, Roque Porras of Oklahoma and Eugenio Porras of Dawn, TX, her grandchildren; Diana Bojorquez, Mariana Bojorquez, Adan Bojorquez, Andres M. Bojorquez, Sebastian E. Bojorquez, Zenayda L. Bojorquez, Adalyn Jacobs, Ismael A. Bojorquez, Santiago U. Bojorquez, Elianna Jacobs, Adrian G. Bojorquez, Jazlin Jacobs, Jaklynn Jacobs, Jalynn Jacobs and Jayden Jacobs.
