Alan Lyman Maynard, 82, passed away December 24, 2022, in Dimmitt, TX, at Castro County Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born August 13, 1940, in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania to Alan Lyman Mynard Sr. and Evelyn Geraldine (Vollrath)Maynard. He lived in Ensenada, California, and moved to Texas.

He worked for Pacific Bell as a phone engineer, and that's what he enjoyed the most. He loved to drive and listen to Merle Haggard.

He loved going out to eat with Misty and Peggy, and he loved pizza and wings. He loved to spend time with "his girls."

Alan will be extremely missed by those who loved him the most. He came into our lives unexpectedly, and we came to love him as our Papa. Miss Lisa was his favorite nurse and was with him until the very end. May you rest in peace Papa, and we pray that you are singing in the Angels' choir! What an amazing day to enter heaven on the birthday of our Jesus Christ Lord above. Rest in Peace.
