Albert Earl Ewing's Obituary
Albert Earl Ewing 63, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2019 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt at 10:00 AM with Reverend Alfred Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Albert Earl Ewing Sr. was born on August 24, 1955 in Stamford, Texas to Robert Ewing and Beatrice (Mays) Ewing. Albert was a longtime resident of Dimmitt living in the community for 61 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Albert worked as a mechanic for Western Equipment, Ray Lee Equipment and John Deere for 27 years while earlier working for Excel Packing House, High Plains Oil and A to Z Tire in Hereford for many years.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Doris Ewing of Dimmitt; eleven children; Terry Williams of Abilene, LaShonda Ewing, Alvin Ewing, Gregory Smith and wife Brittany and Albert Ewing, Jr., all of Amarillo, Christina Ewing and LaQuita Thomas both of Lubbock, Tessa Hickey and husband Tim of Dover, Delaware, Patricia Wilson of Clovis, Pansie Sandoval of Austin and Sherry Lewis of Dimmitt, 6 brothers, Willie Ewing and wife Midge of Lubbock, Robert Ewing and wife Terry of Washington, Donald Ewing of Hereford, Timothy Ewing, John Ewing and wife Stephanie, all of Dimmitt and Michael Ewing of Lewisville, 5 sisters, Mary Smith of Snyder, OK, Mary Ewing and husband Gerald of Dimmitt, Cora Worsham, Robbie Walker and Bernice Ewing all of Denton, 28 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Billy Ewing and Richard Ewing and two sisters, Maggie B. Ewing and Helen Ewing.
