Albesa Salinas Aguilar, 74, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend–whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love–passed away on August 13, 2026.

Born January 16, 1952, in Edinburg, Texas, to Marcelo Aguilar and Julia Reyna Aguilar. Albesa found happiness in the simple moments of life. She especially cherished time spent with family, fishing, playing bingo, dancing, and watching her favorite western movies.

There was a quiet strength in her–a willingness to work hard–and she deeply appreciated the natural beauty of the world around her. She held a special love for elephants, which reflected the wisdom, strength, and deep devotion to family that she carried within herself. She loved to laugh, she loved to make memories, and she always had a joyful heart for music and dancing. She will always be cherished for her laughter, her smile, and the way she could light up any room.

Albesa’s faith was something deeply personal to her. When asked, she would point to her heart and say, “Yo aqui tengo mi Dios en mi corazon.” Those words captured so much about the kind of faith she carried throughout her life–a faith that lived within her expressed through the love she gave, the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the joy she found in dancing.
