Alice Galvan, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away peacefully in Amarillo on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the age of 82 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. David Contreras, Deacon John Nino, and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  Rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the funeral home with Vigil service to follow.
Alice Galvan was born on February 8, 1941, in Sugarland, Texas to Frank Espinosa and Nicolasa (Benavides) Espinosa.  Alice grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and then moved to Dimmitt.  Alice worked for the Dimmitt Independent School District in the cafeteria for many years up until her retirement and then worked in Amarillo for Walmart for 10 years.   Alice was a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Alice enjoyed sewing, working with crafts, watching novelas, playing bingo, and listening to music.  Alice will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Rudy Rosas of Amarillo, Selia Villalobos and husband John of Meridian, Delia Rosas, of Amarillo, Gilbert Galvan and wife Martina of Amarillo, Margie Rascon and husband Victor of Amarillo, Gloria Galvan of Amarillo, Sylvia Benavides and husband Johnny of Poteet, and Mary Esther Vasquez and husband Johnny of Portales, N.M, brother, Johnny Espinosa and wife Mary of San Antonio, 29 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nicolasa Espinosa, husband, Pedro Galvan, sons, Benny Galvan, and Lupe Galvan, 2 brothers, Jesse Espinosa, and Abel Espinosa along with a sister, Josie Espinosa.
