Alixzandrea "Lexi" Martinez, 16, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on January 28, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.   Rosary service will be recited on Sunday evening in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 PM.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Alixzandrea "Lexi" Rose Martinez was born on May 23, 2001 in Amarillo, Texas to Luis Martinez and Lezly Martin.  She enjoyed listening to rap music and at times singing her own rap songs.  She played basketball and ran track.  Lexi will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.

Lexi is survived by her mother, Lezly Martin of Lubbock, her father, Luis Martinez of Dimmitt, sister, Awbrei Martinez of Dimmitt, grandparents, Felipe and Irma Martinez of Dimmitt and Lance Martin of Nashville, uncle, Jose Martinez and wife Amy of Dimmitt.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Ramona Annen, grandmother, Jeanette Martin and uncle, Ethan Martin.
