Alma Sanchez, 58 of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 5:00PM with vigil service to follow at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home.
Alma (Padilla) Sanchez was born on December 28, 1960 in Mercedes, Texas to Antonio Padilla Sr. and Micaela (Mariscal) Padilla. Alma grew up in Dimmitt and worked for many years at Mr. Burger. Alma enjoyed quilting, playing bingo, dominos and loteria, but most of all she loved to spend her time with family and especially her grandchildren.
Alma is survived by her children, Brittany Denise Davis and husband Jirus of Seagraves, TX and Ruben Eric Sanchez and wife Olivia of Plainview, TX, 4 sisters, Socorro C. Sanchez of Amarillo, TX, Margarita Padilla Garza of Amarillo, TX, Sulema Moreno and husband Mario of Dimmitt, TX and Lupe Tello and husband Edward of Corpus Christi, TX, 3 brothers, Basilio Castillo and wife Antonia of Alvin, TX, Antonio Padilla Jr. and wife Cynthia of Springlake, TX and Martin Padilla and wife Lupita of Weslaco, TX, 8 grandchildren, Makenzi, Le'zeiah, Wrhyia, Jaybriana, Peyton, Eyan, Eric Jr. and Addilynn.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Padilla Sr. and Micaela Padilla, 3 sisters, Juanita Constancio, Melinda Trevino and Mary Alaniz.
