Ana Isabel Diaz, 55, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:30AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Ana Isabel Diaz was born on April 24, 1964 to Filemon Montoya and Francisca (Garcia) De Montoya in CD Miguel Aleman Tamaulipas Mexico. Ana married Salvador Diaz on June 30, 1990 and they lived in the Dimmitt community for 30 years where they raised their family. Ana was a longtime and devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking and cleaning house, watching soccer and playing softball in her younger years. But most of all Ana loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports as they were growing up and just spending quality time with her family.
Ana is survived by her husband, Salvador Diaz of Dimmitt, 2 daughters, Anna Yvette Medeles and husband Junior of Dimmitt and Elianna Diaz of Dimmitt, 3 sons, Salvador Diaz, Jr. of Portland, TX, Juan Jose Diaz and wife Amy of Broken Arrow, OK and Jorge Luis Diaz and wife Ruth of Dimmitt, 6 brothers, Rafael Montoya of Houston, Jose Antonio Montoya and wife of Mexico, Gabriel Montoya and wife Marta of Mexico, Gilberto Montoya and wife Magdala of Mexico, Juan Cecielo Montoya and wife Raquel of Roma, TX and Emiliano Montoya and wife Esperanza of Roma, TX, 2 sisters, Maria De Rosiro Garza and husband Raul of Mexico and Esperanza Montoya of La Grulla, TX, 8 grandchildren, Gabriella, Araceli, Savannah, Lauren, Jorge, Ezekiel, Arianny and Liliana.
Ana is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Julia Sifuentes.
