Anna Leal Valdez, 56, of Dimmitt passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 in Dimmitt. Anna was born July 27, 1956 in Dimmitt, Texas to Walter G. and Eloisa Rodriguez Leal. Anna worked for her boss, Walt Hanson, at I.G.A. for 19 years, and also worked for the Long family for five years. She worked at Dimmitt ISD for 5 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. Her hobbies included reading her bible, texting scriptures and watching preaching on T.V. Anna is survived by her husband, Timo Valdez of Dimmitt; one daughter, Mechelle Corrales and husband Israel of Dimmitt; her mother Eloisa R. Leal of Dimmitt; one brother Johnny Leal and his wife Tomasa of Dimmitt; four sisters, Gloria Garcia and husband Steve, Mary Navarro and Linda Lopez and husband Francisco all of Dimmitt and Paula Garcia and husband George of Odessa. Three step children; T.J. Saiz of Clovis, N.M., Levi Valdez of Albuquerque, N.M. and Cami Valdez of Plainview. Two grandchildren Maraya and Matthew Corrales both of Dimmitt; 4 step-grandchildren Todd Michael Jones, Evan Valdez, Ethan Valdez and Jaxon Castornea and several nieces and nephew. She is preceded in death by her dad, Walter G. Leal.
