Antonio Esqueda, 83, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in Dimmitt, Texas at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30AM with burial to follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will begin Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 1:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home with rosary being recited at 7:30PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Antonio Esqueda was born on June 13, 1937 in Jalisco, Mexico to Erasmo and Josefa (Lopez) Esqueda. He has been a resident of Dimmitt for 11 years, he formally lived in Gavilan de Arriba, Jalisco, Mexico where he married his wife Celestina. Antonio worked as a farm hand and enjoyed taking care of the animals especially the cows. He had a pet donkey named Pinta. He loved singing, telling jokes and talking to any and everyone. He never met a stranger and he would often give nicknames to everyone. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 5 daughters, Graciela Esqueda and husband Juan Lopez of Phoenix, Arizona, Yolanda Esqueda of Dimmitt, Rosario Esqueda and husband Elias of Houston, Lilia Esqueda and husband Hector Cruz of Corpus Christi, Lorena Esqueda and husband Ernesto Reyna of Dimmitt and 1 son, Antonio Esqueda and wife Yoselin of Dimmitt, 17 grandchildren, Juan Fransico Lopez, Luis Lopez, Antonio Lopez, Ismael Lopez, Jesus Lopez, Omar Salvador Medina, Marilu Medina, Magali, Medina, Eric Esqueda, Ivan Esqueda, Melissa Cruz, Hector Cruz, Noemi Cruz, Noel Silva, Jr., Camila Esqueda, Anthony Esqueda, and Kendra Esqueda along with 1 brother, Jose Esqueda.

Antonio is preceded in death by, his wife Celestina Olmas, his parents, one grandson Israel Medina, and 4 brothers, Salvador Esqueda, Concepcion Esqueda, Ramon Esqueda and Juan Esqueda along with 1 nephew, Jorge Ramirez.
