Arturo Ruiz, 55, of Dimmitt passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church in Dimmitt with Rev. Joseph Ravi as celebrant. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home. Arturo Ruiz was born on October 9, 1956 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Ramon and Teresa Ruiz. He was a longtime resident of Dimmitt where he worked in the Agricultural Industry for many years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church. He will always be remembered as a hardworker. Arturo is survived by one son, Albert Ruiz of Amarillo, two brothers, Mario Ruiz of Chihuahua, Mexico and Humberto Ruiz of Amarillo, three grandchildren, Hannah Torres, Cameron Brown, and Kathryn Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Ruiz and his parents.
