Bernice Hill, 94, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Dimmitt Bernice was born on October 12, 1920 in Burkburnett, Texas to Green Berry Duncan and Lillie Belle Duncan. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1938. On April 19, 1946 she married Ben Hill Jr. Bernice was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt and worked for the Federal Land Bank for several years. Bernice enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing bridge and working with hand crafts. Bernice is survived by her husband, Ben Hill Jr., 1 daughter, Evelyn Cummins Heins and husband Robert , 1 son, Ben Hill III and wife Denise, 8 grandchildren, Erika Sydow, Cheryl Karpel, Craig Heins, Valerie Shortridge, Jennifer Farmer, Alicia Hill, David Hill and Berkley Voran, 9 great-grandchildren, Megan Karpel, Joshua Karpel, Noah Heins, Emmy Heins, Kayla Shortridge, Eric Shortridge, Kristen Shortridge, MacKenzie Farmer, and Holden Farmer, 1 great-great- grandchild, Tegan Shortridge. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, J.C. Cummins, and 2 brothers, Robert Duncan and Glen Duncan
