Bessie Jackson Grensberg, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Searcy, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Dimmitt with Cory Burns officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bessie (Wilcox) Jackson Grensberg was born April 1, 1933, in Mills County, Texas to Corbie and Bessie (Goodman) Wilcox.  At 17 she moved to Plainview, Texas to live with her sister, Mary, and work at the lunch counter of the pharmacy.  She met JC Jackson of Hart there and they were married on September 2, 1950, in Clovis, New Mexico.  After their marriage she lived many happy years in Hart helping build their business, Hi Way Garage, and making a loving home for their three sons.  After losing JC in a plane crash in 1972 she began working at Burger Bar and then she worked many happy years at the Hart School lunchroom retiring in 2003.  She married Harry Grensberg on May 30, 1975, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They worked many happy years together at Hart ISD.  After caring for Harry in his illness she lost him in 2008.

Bessie moved to Rockwall in the summer of 2011 to be close to son James and family.  She had 9 years of fun and family time in Rockwall. The fall of 2020 she moved to Searcy to be close to son Gary and family.  She had three lovely years with them.  She lived in Harding Place and enjoyed many friendships.

Bessie was a wonderful baker and enjoyed making delicious yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls for family holidays.  She enjoyed Bible class, family time, family vacations, her grandkids, and especially enjoyed visiting James and Debbie's beach house.  Bessie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brothers, her kids, and especially her grandkids and great grandkids.  She was a wonderful mother and the BEST Grandma. She had a special bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoiled them desperately.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, James and Debbie Jackson of Rockwall, Cecil and Debbie Jackson of Round Rock, and Gary and Danita Jackson of Searcy, her grandchildren, Jami and Brian Schwartz, Jason and Brittney Jackson, Jennifer and Chris Cormack, Joshua and Bethany Jackson, Elizabeth and Kyle Thompson, and Teresa Jackson, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
