Betty Batterman, 84, of Hereford, Texas formerly of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday morning, April 2, 2024, in Hereford.
Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10:30AM at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas with Pastor Billy Joe Wall of Avenue Baptist Church officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.   There will be no viewing or visitation.
Betty was born on March 19, 1940, in Hereford, Texas to Carl Kropff and Pauline (Newman) Kropff.  Betty was raised in Hereford and graduated from Hereford High School.  Betty married Fred Batterman on November 20, 1970, in Hereford, Texas and shortly thereafter moved to Dimmitt, Texas, making Dimmitt their home for the next several years.  She worked for Hereford State Bank for 20 years then worked for Higginbotham's in Dimmitt up until her retirement.  She always considered Dimmitt her home.  She and Fred traveled extensively throughout the years and were able to see much of the country together.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brother, Stan Kropff and wife Kay of Canyon, TX, brother-in-law, Gene Batterman and wife Helmi of Hereford, TX, sister-in-law, Linda Phillips and husband Ralph of Amarillo, TX, nephew, Link Kropff of Midland, TX, niece, Rhonda Kropff Bothmann and husband Marty of New Zealand, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Fred Batterman.
