Betty C. Burrous, 85, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Amarillo while residing at Brookdale Memory Care Home.  Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00AM in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas with Donald Wright officiating.  Local funeral arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Betty was born on September 29, 1932 in Lubbock, Texas to Beecher Carrol Donald and Rose H. (Jaynes) Donald.  She lived in Dimmitt, Texas for many years where she was a member of the Methodist Church and had been very active within the Methodist Women's Group.  She was a loving mother and very involved with her grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reedford Burrous, daughter, Sharla Vaughn, son-in-law, Danny Vaughn and their infant son Adam.

Those left to honor Betty and remember her love are her daughters, Shanee Thompson and husband Gary of Decatur, Alabama, Sherri Kenworthy and husband Tommy of Perryton, Texas, grandchildren, Cory Lust and wife Wendy, Tawnee Bicknell and husband Shawn, Cameron Lust and wife Micah, Amber DiSimone and husband Jay and Taylor Matthews, great-grandchildren, Cray, Cutter, Sage, Audree, Boston, Tatum, Landry and River.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tatum Schulte Foundation at First United Bank, PO Box 929, Canyon, Texas 79015.
