Billie Bland Evans Terry, 85 of Hart, Texas passed away on January 29, 2015 in Olton, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00PM in Lee Street Baptist Church with Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Monday, February, 2, 2015 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Billie was born on September 6, 1929 to Albert Bland and Trecie Phillips Bland in Vera, Texas. While attending school she went through the 11th grade and later received her G.E.D. She married Edward (Jack) Evans on November 29, 1947 and after his death she married James Terry on July 1, 1974 who also preceded her in death. She worked for Plains Memorial Hospital for about 30 years and received the "Employee of the Year Award" in 1989. Everyone loved her coconut cream pies and she loved to sew and made many prom dresses over the years. Most of all she will be remembered for her honesty, the love for her family and her loyalty. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Erica Evans, for staying with her and taking care of her for several years until she went to the nursing home. Billie is survived by 6 children, Joe Evans and Gary Evans, both of Dimmitt, Kathy Johnson and partner Craig Fuller of Dimmitt, Robert Evans, Sue Smith and husband Steve all of Hart, and Nancy Heinson and husband Mike of Meade, KS, 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Thurman Bland, Holden Bland, and Henry bland and 1 sister, Dorothy Yates.
