Billie C. Moyers, 84, of Dimmitt passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in Dimmitt. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Dimmitt at 3:00 PM with Rev. Clint Young and Ronnie Brunson officiating, burial to follow at Crosbyton Cemetery in Crosbyton, Texas. Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Billie was born May 15, 1928 in Crosbyton, Texas to Brad and Attie Smith Chappell. She moved to Dimmitt in 1962 from Crosbyton. She was employed with the Dimmitt Independent School District in the cafeteria for many years until her retirement. She loved cooking and working in the nursery at the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her son William Boyd Moyers of Baird. Three grandchildren, Brooke Eymbers and her husband Matthew Kirby of Panhandle, Clynt and Carley Moyers both of Clyde and one great granddaughter, Kloey Kirby of Panhandle. One sister, Virginia Matthew of Dallas. She is preceded in death by her husband William A. Moyers, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
