Bonnie Davis, 86, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away from this earth on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in Dimmitt.  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ with Mr. Bailey Chisum officiating.  Burial will take place at 1:00PM in Earth Memorial Cemetery in Earth, Texas under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Bonnie (Clayton) Davis was born on August 13, 1933 in Earth, Texas to Freddie Clayton and Emily (Hawkins) Clayton.  Bonnie moved to Dimmitt in 1975 and has been a resident for 44 years.  Bonnie was a faithful member of the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ who always loved her God.  She was a longtime member of the Ogallala Quilter's Society and the Friendship Quilter's Guild.  Bonnie loved to sew and make quilts for all her family and enjoyed ironing clothes for the public which often turned into long enjoyable conversations with her customers.  Anytime she could get out of Dimmitt her family knew that one of the stops was going to be at a "special" fabric store.  But most of all she will always be remembered by the love she had for her God, her family and her church.

Bonnie is survived by her 2 children, Sandra Arnold of Dimmitt and Donnie Henderson and wife Ashlie of Hereford, 2 brothers, Norman Clayton and wife Ginger and Boyd Clayton and wife Darla, all of Lubbock, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Emily Clayton and 1 sister, Wanda Lowery.
