Bryan Joseph Acker, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 12, 2026.
Graveside services will be in Nazareth, TX at Holy Family Cemetery at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with Rev. Gabriel E. Garcia as celebrant.  Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, TX.
Bryan was born on March 29,1960 in Friona, TX, to Denis and Irene Acker.
He was a graduate of Amarillo High School, Class of 1978.  He continued his education with an Associate of Applied Science from Texas State Technical Institute in 1980, an Associate of Computer Science in 2004 from Rogers State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology in 2005 from Oklahoma State University.
He was employed by Phillips Petroleum/Applied Automation in Bartlesville, OK, in 1980 and continued working there until he retired in 2022.
He was active in Boy Scouts attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.  He was also active in the Kwahadi Indian Dancers.
He married Teresa Livezey in 2006.  Bryan and Teresa had no children, but both had a great love for animals.  Bryan spent countless hours volunteering for the SPCA in Bartlesville, OK.  He and Teresa raised and showed Pomeranians and Shelties.  Bryan enjoyed fishing and traveling.  He traveled to all states in United States and traveled abroad with his wife Teresa and his parents Denis and Irene.
Bryan is proceeded in death by his wife, Teresa Acker, and his father, Denis Acker.  Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Irene Acker, sister Cindy Eller and her husband, Kenneth, sister Andrea Birkhead and her husband, Dennis, nieces, a nephew, great nieces and nephews, and many close friends who shared in the love of raising and showing dogs.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Hwy 123, Bartlesville, OK  74006.
