Bryan Hal Gilbreath, 50, of Phoenix Arizona, formerly of Dimmitt, TX passed away on October 4, 2014 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:30AM in the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt with Rev. T.C. Broom and Coby Gilbreath officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Hal was born on September 30, 1964 in Dimmit, Texas to John S. Gilbreath and Dorothy Barnett Gilbreath. He grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School. After graduating he attended TSTI in Amarillo and graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. He worked as a chef and worked in many facets of the food industry including the breakfast chef at the Embassy Suite Hotel, worked in the stadium concession at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, 54 hole golf Country Club Grill, banquets, and hospital kitchens. Hal enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, motorcycling, and trap shooting. He was a member and was baptized in the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt, Texas He is survived by 2 children, Tyger Gilbreath and Sabra Gilbreath both of Tucson, his mother, Dorothy Gilbreath of Sunnyside, TX, 2 brothers, Coby Gilbreath and wife Connie of Dimmitt and Matt Gilbreath of Dimmitt, uncle and aunts include Zay and Charlotte Gilbreath of College Station, TX and Carmaleta Barnett of Lubbock, TX and numerous cousins and extended family. Hal was preceded in death by his father, John S. Gilbreath.
