Candelaria "Cande" Perez, 69, of Dimmitt passed away on June 20, 2013 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 1:00PM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt with Rev. Ken Keller as celebrant. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Candelaria was born on February 2, 1944 in Del Rio, Texas to Gilbert and Rosa Zamudio. She has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1967 and married Joe V. Perez on February 27, 1967. Her hobbies included listening to music, travelling, cooking, and watching "The Price is Right", but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt. She is survived by 1 daughter, Rachel Herrera and husband David of Dimmitt, 5 brothers, Sam Zamudio of Homedale, Idaho, Gilbert Zamudio Jr., Angel Zamudio, Eddie Zamudio, and Paul Zamudio all of Nampa, Idaho, 7 sisters, Odilia Rangel and Linda Zamudio both of Homedale, Idaho, Toni Rodriguez of Parma, Idaho, Virginia LaFee of Donnely, Idaho, Elena Delgadillo of Marsing, Idaho, Eneriqueta Hernandez of Del Rio, Texas and Maria Perez of Olton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe V. Perez, and a son, Joe Alvin Perez.
