Catherine Fuller McFarland of Dimmitt died Friday, December 14, 2012 Catherine was born in 1922 in Cleveland. She moved to Dimmitt in 1946, then to Amarillo in 1976 and back to Dimmitt in 2010. Catherine moved to Dimmitt in 1946 and became a novel, but welcome addition to the community. Her food was the best in the county and her door was open to all; a true champion of diversity. She was a treasured relative, friend and volunteer, and she had a positive effect on all who met her and never met a stranger. She continues to hold us all in a high standard. Survivors include five children, Sharon Cowell of El Paso, Craig and Kathy Johnson Fuller and Bruce and Donna Fuller, all of Dimmitt. Janis Morrison of Muleshoe, and Hally and Ron Cole of Oklahoma City; her stepchildren, Steve and Carole McFarland of St. Louis and Houston; a niece, Bonnie and Ron Zele and her children Heather, Scott and Zach, all of Cleveland; her daughters-in-law, Nancy Fuller and Nancy Hill, both of Dimmitt; eight grandchildren, Shawn and Lori Cowell of Magnolia, Casey and Josh McIntyre of Borger, Matt Cowley of Hale Center, John and Lindsay Fuller and Greg and Jena Fuller, all of Nazareth, Amy and Travis Welch of Dalhart, Jenifer and Phillip Day of Bulverde, and Quinn Thomas of Oklahoma City, and 15 great grandchildren, Michael, Brent, Shawna, and Ty Cowell, McCade and Walker Marquez, Brooklyn Mitchell, Easton McIntyre, Kamre and Charly Mask, Braeli Fuller, Lauren and Logan Welch, Jesicah and Evan Day. She was precede in death by a brother, Frank Benedict, and her husbands, Winfred Fuller and Clint McFarland.
