Chase Schulte, 26, of Nazareth, passed away on November 6, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with Rev. Ken Keller as celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM in Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday with Vigil Services following. Burial will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Chase was born on February 18, 1985 in Hereford, TX to Greg and Karen Schulte of Nazareth. He grew up in Nazareth and graduated from Nazareth High School in 2003. He received the MVP Award in the state basketball Tournament in 2003; All-State Football Award in his senior year; he was a recipient of the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame Big Play Award in 2003, and was nominated as the All South Plains Outfielder in Baseball. He graduated from West Texas A&M University and planned on pursuing a career in coaching and teaching. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He is survived by his parents Greg and Karen Schulte of Nazareth, 2 brothers, Travis Schulte and wife Shawna of Perryton and Kit Schulte and wife Kira of Nazareth; grandparents, LeRoy and Dorothy Pohlmeier of Nazareth and Florene Schulte of Nazareth, 2 nieces, Shaylin and Tatum Schulte and 2 nephews Dayne and Cooper Schulte, Godparents, Monette Schilling and J.C. Pohlmeier. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Schulte.
