Cindy Elaine Therwhanger, 55, of Spring, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Spring.  Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:30PM in the First Baptist Church of Hart, Texas with Pastor Kenny Venable officiating.  Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.

Cindy Elaine Therwhanger was born on January 23, 1962 in Plainview, Texas to Thomas Brooks and Shirley (Venable) Brooks.  She grew up in Hart, Texas and graduated from Hart High School.  She then  attended West Texas A&M University and graduated with a B.S. degree.  Later she graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Master's degree.  Cindy worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker which she enjoyed and attended the Primitive Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  Cindy enjoyed cooking, reading, collecting antiques, spending time with family but most of all she enjoyed being a grandmother to her two grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her children, Lauren Elaine Barber and husband Matthew of Lubbock, Tyler Dillon Therwhanger of Spring, and Kyle Brett Therwhanger and wife Elizabeth of Hart, father, Thomas Brooks of Hart, sisters, Sheila Fediuk, Ronda Gilbreath and Robin Brooks all of Eagles Nest, NM, grandchildren, Silas Wilhelm Therwhanger and Claire Elaine Barber, nephews, Austin Thomas Dudley and wife Amy of Morton, Andrew Carson Dudley of Amarillo, Dustin Gilbreath of Euless, Tanner Gilbreath of College Station and Thomas Ayden Brooks of Eagles Nest, NM, great-nephew, Seth Lane Dudley of Morton along with the father of her children, Bobby Therwhanger of Lubbock, aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends, co-workers and her sweet dog, Bella.

Cindy is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Brooks.
