Crescencio C. Lopez, 69, of Dimmitt, passed away on December 13, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt with Rev. Ken Keller officiating and Deacon John Nino assisting, burial will follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. Rosary and vigil services will be Friday evening at 6:00 PM at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Crescencio was born April 19, 1942 in Villa Union, Mexico to Jose and Juanita Lopez. He moved to Dimmitt in 1960. He married Maria Garcia Lopez in 1966 in Mexico. He worked for the City of Dimmitt for 33 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church. He played his guitar in the church choir. He is survived by his wife, Maria Lopez of Dimmitt; two daughters, Juanita Murguia and Lydia Zavaleta both of Amarillo, one son Alonso Lopez of Dimmitt. Seven brothers Fortunato Lopez of Mexico, Guadalupe, Rosalio and Lorenzo Lopez all of Andrews; Jose Angel Lopez of Dimmitt and Guillermo Lopez of Los Elotes, Texas. Two sisters Maria Lopez Munoz of Brownwood and Eulilia Lopez Melchor of Mexico. 8 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
