Darrell Lacy, 80, of Hart passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at his residence. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:30AM in Hart Cemetery with Deacon Bob Birkenfeld of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Darrell was born on September 3, 1931 in Littlefield, TX to William and Ruby Lacy. He graduated from Hart High School and Lipperts Business School. Darrell joined the United States Air Force in 1950. He married Joanne Cantrell in June of 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 528 in Nazareth, he served on the Hart School Board, and served on the Board of Directors of the Hart Golden Group, but most importantly his family was his life. Darrell is survived by his wife, Joanne Lacy, a daughter, Lisa Schulte and husband Clyde of Nazareth, three sons, Darrell Lacy Jr. and wife Starla of Las Vegas, Nevada, Denny Lacy and wife Valerie of Houston, and Daniel Lacy and wife Heather of Odessa, one brother, Bob Lacy and wife Margaret of Clovis, one sister, JoAnn DeZonia of Collinsville, TX, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
