David (D.M.) Martinez, 64, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon John Niῆo, and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with arrangements under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

David was born March 15, 1955 to Isabel and Josefina (Herrera) Martinez in Dimmitt, Texas. While attending school he enjoyed playing football and basketball for Dimmitt High School. He worked for Walt Hanson for many years in the grocery industry and enjoyed helping people with their produce. David also enjoyed going to Mr. Burger and drinking coffee with his friends, cooking out and watching the Dallas Cowboys football games. David was always known for visiting with people volunteering his time at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

David is survived by 4 sisters, Mandy Garibaldy and husband Jose Luis and Rosie Cantu and husband Juan all of Grand Prairie, Texas, Janie Martinez and Mary Guzman and husband Tommy both of Dimmitt, Texas, 2 brothers, Santos Martinez and wife Jan of Morris, Illinois and Johnny Joe Martinez of Dimmitt, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents.
