Deacon Buckley, 29, of Dimmitt passed away on August 1, 2013 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00PM on Monday in the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ with Chuck Ball and James Jones officiating. Private family graveside will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin at the funeral home from 1:00PM - 8:00PM on Sunday. Deacon was born on August 5, 1983 in Dimmitt, Texas to Steve and Vicki Buckley. Deacon grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 2002. He attended Texas Tech University and was a Phi Delta Theta. On July 19, 2008 he married Callen Mixson. He was a member of the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ, Dimmitt Young Farmers, National Corn Growers 300 Bushel Club, Fiber Max 1 Ton Club and the National Rifle Association. Deacon's personal business and occupation was Family Custom and Precision Farming. His hobby business was Final Flight Outfitters. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, cooking, outdoors, his dogs and working in his yard. He loved his church and attending church camps. He loved life, but most of all he loved his wife, his boys and his entire family. Deacon is survived by his spouse, Callen Buckley of Dimmitt, 2 sons, Hudson James Buckley (2 years old) and Hagen Foster Buckley (6 months old) both of Dimmitt, his parents, Steve and Vicki Buckley of Dimmitt, 2 brothers, Dustan Buckley and wife Brooke and Derek Buckley and wife Whitni both of Lubbock, 1 sister, Chelsea Buckley of Lubbock, grandparents, Don and Betty Carpenter of Dimmitt, mother and father-in-law, Terry and Lisa Mixson of Dimmitt, grandparents-in-law, Duward and Joyce Davis of Dimmitt, 2 nephews, Braden Buckley and Lincoln Buckley and 2 nieces Zimri Buckley and London Buckley.
