Dennis Harold Heiman, 90, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, in Dimmitt, Texas.

He was born July 3, 1935, to Alphonse and Isabelle Heiman. He married Dolores Mary Stork on April 25, 1957, in Nazareth and this year they celebrated 68 years of marriage.

Denny served in the army from 1954-1956. He was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church where he also served on the Holy Family Parish Council. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and the Foresters.

During his life Denny farmed, worked at Coors of Amarillo, and then built, owned, and operated the 19th Hole for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Deanna Huseman, and a sister Etta May Kleman Sellers.

Denny is survived by his wife Dolores, children Wayne Heiman and Sandy, Rodney Heiman and Jennifer, Mona Schulte and Rodney, Darrin Heiman and Jennifer, sisters Julene Gerber, Joanne Bowen, and Ony Taylor. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Denny loved working in his yard (or anyone else's) which was always a showcase. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids. Popo's lap was the most comfortable seat in the house. He was the model host, loving to have friends and family over for fun, fellowship, and a cold drink. One example was founding the renowned Annual Skidrow Tennis Tournament which provided laughs and treasured memories for so many of the community. He will always be remembered as sitting on his Gator with a smile on his face and a cigar in his hand.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with Reverend Arockiaraj Samala as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. The Rosary/Vigil service will be on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth.
