Dione Steffens, 47, of Dimmitt, TX passed away on April 27, 2011 in Dimmitt. Funeral Services will held on Saturday at 2:00PM in the 4th & Bedford Church of Christ in Dimmitt with Mr. King Burney and Mr. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt, under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Dione was born on June 7, 1963 in Lubbock, TX to Corky and Virginia Shaw. Dione grew up in Guymon, OK where she graduated high school. She moved to Dimmitt in 1981 and attended Amarillo College where she received her associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting. She also received her certification as an EMT where she worked for Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt. She was a member of the 4th & Bedford Church of Christ. She was known for her unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by 3 daughters, Kamryn Brown and husband Brandon of Amarillo, Geena Steffens and fiancee Steven Sorrells of Nazareth, and Carsyn Steffens of Dimmitt, her parents Corky and Virginia Nelson of Dimmitt, 1 brother, Greg Nelson and wife Becky of Guymon, OK 2 grandchildren, Cody and Shylee Brown, aunt and uncle, Hazel and Dan Nelson of Dimmitt, aunt and uncle, Sharon and Jim Nelson of Lubbock and aunt, Earlene Myatt of Dimmitt, and former husband, Ed Steffens of Dimmitt. Numerous nieces and nephews.
