Donald Ray Lilley, 73, of Little Elm formerly of Dimmitt passed away on Sunday, February 16, in Allen, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February, 22, 2014 in the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ with Mr. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Donnie was born on July 13, 1940 in Big Spring, TX to Raymond Lilley and Mollie Gay Hill Lilley. Donnie was raised on a farm south of Dimmitt and never lost his love of farming. He graduated from Dimmitt High School and then served in the United States Army. Donnie married Sue Hancock in 1969 and spent all his time doing things that made his family happy. He farmed until moving to Canyon where he worked as a cast iron welder. He then transferred to Oklahoma where he worked for Johnson Control until his retirement when he moved to Little Elm to be closer to family. Donnie was a member of the McDermmott Road Church of Christ. Donnie is survived by his wife, Chyrel Sue Lilley of Little Elm, 2 daughters, Audra Gay Mock and husband Mike, and Elizabeth Helene Merrell and husband Sean and 1 sister, Gailya Lewis and husband Raymond. 2 Grandchildren Sasha Lilly Merrell and Declan Patrick Merrell and a "grand dog" Spud. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mollie Gay Hill Lilley
