Donna Ann Kuntz, 67, of Dimmitt, TX. She passed away early November 6, 2013. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with the Rev. T.C. Broom and Robert Burke officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00PM. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Donna was born in Levelland, Texas on March 31, 1946. She graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1964, and further went on to receive her BS degree in Special Education in 1982 from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master's degree in Special Education in 1997 from Texas Tech University. Donna was happily married to Ricky Kuntz on July 17, 1999. Donna spent her professional career as a reading teacher and became a special education teacher specializing in visually impaired children and adults. She worked for Dimmitt and Hereford school districts for 21 years, and spent her retirement working with visually-impaired adults for DAR's. She was a member of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation, Eastern Star, Texas Classroom Teachers Association and Texas Retired Teachers Association. Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt where she sang in the choir. She also taught Sunday school and was involved in both the Women's Group and the Men's Prayer Group. She actively participated in Emmaus walks with her husband Ricky and helped with many other events at the Amherst Christian Retreat Center. She enjoyed traveling, piecing together family photo collages, doing arts and craft projects, she spent every day relaxing and praying in her hot tub on the patio, but most of all she loved and cherished spending precious time with her beloved family and friends. Donna is survived by her husband Ricky Kuntz of Dimmitt; parents James and Colleen Freeman of Lubbock, TX. 2 sons Shannon Mason and wife Leslie of Waco, TX. and Grady Mason of Dimmitt; a sister Kay Allison and husband Mack of Enid, OK.; a nephew Donnie Allison and wife Terri .8 grandchildren Brittney Loth and husband Glen, Tate Mason, Cole Clay, Lindsey Clay, Sabre Ogle, Hunter Mason, MaKayla Mason and Steven Mason, 4 great grandchildren Jadyn Ogle, Brandon Ogle, Destiny Andrade and Kynley Rose Loth. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grace Ayers and Tom Morgan, paternal grandparents, Grady and Esther Freeman aunt Betty Wagnon, biological father Roy (Jiggs) Baker and grandson Brandon Mason.
