Dora Jimenez, 83, formerly of Dimmitt passed away, Friday, October 19, 2012 in Amarillo. Dora was born July 30, 1929 to Elijio and Jila Jimenez in Pleasanton, Texas. She was a resident of Dimmitt for 15 years, where she worked as a cook at Vaughn's Café. She loved to watch the Western Channel, playing bingo and always ready for the next outing with her family. She is survived by a sister Else Sanchez of Altas, Oklahoma; two special nephews Henry Rivera and his wife Teresa of Amarillo; and Richard Rivera of Plainview, and three special nieces Barbara Sandoval of Houston; Yolanda Villegas and Sylvia Rodriguez both of Tulia and several other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters, Mary Rivera; Olivia Salinas, Lili Ybara and Juana Garcia and 3 brothers, Ray, Ismael and Abundio Jimenez.
