Doris "Jerrie" Horton, 76, of Dimmitt formerly of Hart passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Lubbock. Jerrie was born June 29, 1936 in Alcorn County, Mississippi to Shelby Lynn and Leona Swinford Brock. She graduated from Kossuth, Mississippi. She married James Horton on January 9, 1976 in Hart. She was a resident of Hart, Texas for 31 years. She and James moved to Dimmitt, October 27, 2007. She was a secretary for Jerry Matthews and for her husband for several years. She was a member of Ladies Golf Association of Dimmitt. She loved to golf, fish, gardening, but most of all she was a very loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, James Horton of Dimmitt; 3 daughter, Sherry Schaeffer and husband David of Dimmitt; Linda Mask and husband Mark of Millington, Tennessee and Amber Dembroski and husband Kevin of Kennedale, Texas. 2 sons, David Horton and wife Laine of Argyle, Texas and Austin Horton and wife Donna of Mesquite, Texas. Her mother, Leona Brock of Corinth, Mississippi; 3 sisters, Sandra Storey and Jeanet Sutorus both of Corinth, Mississippi; Margaret Browder of Sweet Lips, Mississippi and 1 brother Kenneth Brock of New Mexico; 18 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren She is preceded in death by her first husband, Mart Daniel Booe on October 18, 1972; 2 sons, Mart Daniel Booe, Jr., Feb. 10, 1976 and Micheal Lynn Booe on May 5, 2012 and 2 grandsons, Shawn David Schaeffer and Joseph Taylor Mask
