Dorothy "Joyce" Beavers, 82, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Carlsbad, NM.  Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bailey Chisum officiating.  Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home on Sunday evening.

Joyce Beavers was born on January 11, 1935 to Leroy and Ruth Shive.  She married Wayne Beavers and they have been married for 65 years.  She was a faithful member of the Hart Church of Christ and loved her Lord and family.  Joyce was a loving wife and mother who took care of the home.  She enjoyed sewing it her spare time.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Wayne Beavers of Carlsbad, daughter, Connie Henry and husband Billy of Carlsbad, 2 grandchildren, Nikki Patterson and husband Shane and Dustin Henry and wife Paulette, 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Justin, McKenzie, Dylan and Taylann.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Randy Beavers and Terry Beavers and sister, Doris Frazier.
