Edith Eloise (Williams) Graef, 97, of Dimmitt, passed away on April 11, 2011 in Littlefield. Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 2:00PM in the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt. Graveside Services will follow at 4:00PM in Olton Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Edith was born on March 15, 1914 to John and Mattie Williams in Seymour, TX. She was the first of four daughters. As a young child, her family moved to Draw, TX then to Olton, TX where she attended school and met Clayton Charles Graef. They married March 17, 1930 and soon moved to the Lazbuddie community. Edith was involved in many activities in Lazbuddie, the Bethel community and in Dimmitt, TX. She is survived by 1 son-in-law, Gene Phillips of Clovis, 1 daughter-in-law, Wilton Armstrong of Hale Center,1 sister-in-law Dean Myers of Big Spring, TX, 2 nephews, Bill Myers of Big Spring and James Beavers of Lubbock, 2 nieces, Carolyn Jackson of Littlefield and Denise McDole of Lubbock, 13 grandchildren, Sharon Welch of Columbia, Missouri, Rhonda Neighbur of Urbandale, Iowa, Mark Welch of College Station, TX, Jerry Phillips of Plainview, Bobby Phillips of Amarillo, Sandy Phillips of Clovis, Chuck Phillips of Amarillo, Steven Phillips of Clovis, Derek Phillips of Clovis, Leisa Fudge of Burkburnett, TX, Brent Graef of Canyon, David Graef of Nashville, TN, Carl Graef of Missoula Montana, and Shane Graef of Dallas, TX, 23 Great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great- grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Clayton Charles Graef in 1983, 1 son Clayton Ray Graef in 1985, 2 daughters , Reta Welch in 1997 and Charlene Phillips in 2005 and 3 sisters.
