Eloisa R. "Momo" Leal, 85, of Dimmitt met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 2, 2018 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dimmitt with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady as celebrant, burial to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Prayer service will be Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Eloisa was born March 16, 1933 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Julian S. Rodriguez and Rosa (Sanchez) Rodriguez. She married Walter G. Leal on October 17, 1950 in Vance, Miss. She moved to Castro County in 1956. Together they had six wonderful children who had the pleasure of calling her mom. To her grandchildren "Momo" was the most amazing, loving, beautiful grandma anyone could ever have. We were truly blessed to have her in our lives. "Momo" was greatly and dearly loved by her grandchildren and their spouses. "Momo" was a Godly Christian woman who loved reading her bible and loved the symbol of the white dove and what it represented. If you ever made contact with "Momo" you better believe you received a big blessing. She was known for her big hugs, kisses, sweet tea but most of all her "bendiciones". During football season if the Dallas Cowboys were playing you can believe she was watching them. This is how we will always remember our "Momo". 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith; Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

"Momo" is survived by 3 daughters, Maria Navarro, Linda Lopez and her husband Francisco all of Dimmitt and Paula Garcia and her husband George of Odessa, 1 son, Johnny Leal of Dimmitt and 2 sons-in-law; Timo Valdez and Steve Garcia both of Dimmitt; 4 sisters, Martina Lopez of Elk City, OK., Mary Lopez of San Angelo. Fabiana Saldana of Amarillo and Elida Garza of Dimmitt; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

"Momo" is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Walter G. Leal, two daughters, Anna Valdez and Gloria Garcia, 2 sisters, Gloria "Concha" Maurico and Georgia Gregoria Lopez and 4 brothers, Julian Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Marcelino Rodriguez and Juan Rodriguez.
