Emilia "Momo" Gauna, 84, of Dimmitt passed away on July 5, 2014 in Dimmitt, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church in Dimmitt with Rev. Ken Keller and Deacon John Nino as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6:00PM at the funeral home. Emilia was born on April 6, 1930 in Georgetown, Texas to Santiago Lopez and Severa Hernandez Lopez. She was a resident of Dimmitt for the majority of her life. She married Narciso M. Gauna Sr. in 1947. She enjoyed spending time loving and spending time with her husband and family. She liked playing cards, dancing, and singing. She enjoyed watching birds especially parakeets and flowers and loving her baby dog "Chiquito". Emilia is survived by her husband, Narciso M. Gauna Sr., 5 daughters, Janie Ramirez, of Dimmitt, Lydia Garcia of Goodland, KS, Josie Garcia of Dimmitt, Maria Salcido of Santa Anna, TX, and Norma Lopez of Dimmitt, 1 son, Danny Rodriguez of Dimmitt, 27 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
