Eric Ruiz,41, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Dimmitt. Cremation Services are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. There will be no services at this time.
Eric Ruiz was born on June 4, 1980 in Plainview, Texas. He grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School. He then attended and graduated from WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming to prepare for a career as a technician in the automotive industry. He worked in Amarillo for some time before moving to Odessa. Eric moved back to Dimmitt after being diagnosed with an illness.
Eric enjoyed working on cars and spending time with friends and family. Over the years he collected "Hot Wheels" and developed a collection of over 200. He will be remembered by always talking to everyone and always being very helpful when people needed help.
Eric is survived by his sisters, Michelle Olivas and husband Arturo of Dimmitt and Destiny Rodriguez of Dimmitt, and aunt, Elva Ruiz of Dimmitt.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Ruiz Rivera and aunt, Olga Ruiz.
