Eva F. Saenz, 89, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Dimmitt.  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1:30PM at the Abundant Life Family Church with her son, Alex Saenz officiating.  Burial will follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 3:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Eva Fuentez Saenz was born on February 17, 1935, in Brackettville, Texas to Patricio Fuentez and Sofia (Talamantez) Fuentez.  Eva is one of twelve children that Patricio and Sofia had.  On December 6, 1951, Eva married her Sugar Babe (Sesario) in Clovis, New Mexico and they were married for 56 years.  Eva and Sesario started their lives together in Olton, Texas until they moved to Dimmitt in 1968 and became faithful members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Eva was a member of the Guadalupanas at the church for several years. She loved crossword puzzles and working on puzzles with her daughter and going to casinos.  The family will always remember her as Yellowstone's biggest fan.
Eva is survived by nine children, Virgin Gritzman of Dimmitt, Texas, Elizabeth Soto of Amarillo, TX, Lucille Vargas of Amarillo, TX, Sesario Saenz, Jr. of Dimmitt, TX, Patricia Crum of Dimmitt, TX, Susanna Armour of Tennessee, Jessie Saenz of Dimmitt, TX, Alex Saenz of Amarillo, TX, and Mercy Saenz of Dimmitt, TX, one brother, five sisters, along with twenty-six grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sesario Saenz along with three brothers and two sisters.
