Ewell Hunt Kelley, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Dimmitt, Texas. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 @ 11:00 at the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ of Dimmitt with James Elgin Conner officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Ewell was born at home in Lubbock, Texas to Cora Lucille Swaim Kelley and Samuel James Kelley, he was the 9th child out of 11. Ewell had lived in Dimmitt the last 48 years, moving here from Lubbock, TX. He was a longtime supporter of all Dimmitt Athletic Programs. Ewell was a member of the 4th & Bedford Church of Christ of Dimmitt. He taught CVAE for 2 years for Dimmitt ISD, he was a fertilizer salesman retiring in 1996. His hobbies included, Bobcat and Bobbies athletics, and playing golf. He is survived by his wife Nell Kelley of Dimmitt; one son Greg Kelley and wife Kelly of Levelland, TX, two daughters: Cindy Broussard and husband Andre of Lubbock, and Kristi Cox and husband Frank of Tomball, TX. 5 grandchildren. One brother: Elton "Pete" Kelley of Sealy, Texas, one sister: Arjorie Wolfenden of Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brother and 4 sisters.
