Frances "June" Fisher, 84, passed away peacefully from this earth on Friday, December 20, 2019 in Dimmitt, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 2:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Woods officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
June was born in Parmer County, Texas to Willie and Elsie (Atkins) Hardage on March 29, 1935. She was raised in Oklahoma Lane and attended school in Farwell, Texas. After graduation she met and married her lifelong love, James "Jim" Fisher on December 31, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico.
June worked in Clovis, New Mexico before moving to Dimmitt where she worked as office manager for Dimmitt Agri Industries followed by Cargill until her retirement. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed participating in numerous bowling leagues. She was also a very talented artist leaving many treasured oil paintings for her family to cherish. She loved her family and was very proud of all her grandchildren.
June is survived by one son, Tony (Darla) Fisher and one daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Pigg all of Dimmitt. Five grandchildren, Jim Don (Sabrina) Laurent, Kody (Chelsea) Laurent, Tabitha (Philip) Lumbrera, Dalton (Rene) Fisher and Darcy (Orrin) McLain and eight great grandchildren and one brother, Truitt Hardage.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie C. Hardage and Elsie Irene Hardage, husband, Jim Fisher, brother, Glenn Hardage and sister, Irene Woods.
