Geneivive "Jenny" Hess, 88 of Dimmitt passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Dimmitt.

Jenny was born July 4, 1927 in Lovilia, Iowa to Sylvester and Tressia Burk. She married Aaron Hess in 1945. Jenny has lived in Amarillo for 7 ½ years, Hereford for 17 years and Dimmitt for the past 7 years. She has worked as a waitress and cashier in the food industry the majority of her life. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, crossword puzzles dancing and gardening. Her granddaughter and daughter say, "She always told it like it was; she was a firecracker and a bit feisty."

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Wyman and her husband Robert of Dimmitt; 0ne sister Norma Jean Birkenholtz of Newton, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Tim Hess, Ted Hess, Tammy VanHorn, Donna Wyman, Teruah Hess and Robin Barrientez; 15 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Aaron Hess, two sons, one grandson, three sisters and six brothers.
