Gillermo "Willie" Lopez's Obituary
Gillermo "Willie" Lopez, 50, of Texico, N.M. formerly of Dimmitt passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Texico, N.M. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel of Dimmitt. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be Friday evening at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
Willie was born January 30, 1968 in Dimmitt, Texas to Juan and Estella (DeLaCruz) Lopez. Willie was born and raised in Dimmitt, Texas. He worked for the Rick Wright family for many years, he later moved to Texico, N.M. for his job. Willie loved fishing, hunting, camping, anything that dealt with being outdoors, he enjoyed. He was a very hard working man, had many friends, never met a stranger, but above all these hobbies his greatest love was his boys, spending time with them and his family.
Those left to cherish Willie's memories are his mother, Estella Lopez and step-dad Jesus Fuentes both of Dimmitt; his five sons Jonas, Jonathan, Justin and Jason Lopez and their mother Karen Schaffer all of Texico, N.M. and Johnny James Lopez of Texico, N.M. and his mother and Willie's fiancé Amanda Gleason; a sister Lupe Lopez of Dimmitt, and two brothers Johnny Lopez and his wife Lupe of Amarillo and Daniel Lopez and his wife Lori of Dimmitt, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Willie is preceded in death by his dad Juan Lopez and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
