Guadalupe P. Salinas, 84, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Midland, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 6:00PM at the funeral home.

Guadalupe Salinas was born on February 18, 1935 in La Efigenia Arteaga Coahuila, Mexico to Augustin Padilla Flores and Cristina Garcia Flores. Guadalupe was in Mexico and came to the United States in 1963. Early in life she worked the fields in Texas and the state of Washington which instilled to her children to work hard. She than became a homemaker raising her children. She was always cooking and willing to prepare a meal for her family and friends. Guadalupe was known for always wanting to visit and drink coffee with her friends which were always memorable occasions. But most of all she enjoyed loving and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Guadalupe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas.

Guadalupe is survived by 3 sons, Angel Leal and wife Elva of Monterrey, MX, Jesus P Salinas and wife Mary of Midland, TX and Jaime I. Salinas of Childress, TX, 1 daughter, Ninfa De La Garza and husband Roberto of Monterrey, MX, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Amelia Rodriguez, Santos Rodriguez and Consuelo Rodriguez all of Mexio.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Z. Salinas, brother, Felipe Padilla and sister, Ninfa Alvarez.
