Pauline Harris Hoyler, 85, of Dimmitt, TX died on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Dimmitt, TX. Family Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmitt, TX. Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Dimmitt with Reverend Jonathan Sullivan, officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery in Hart, Texas. Arrangements by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, TX. Pauline was born on March 31, 1930 in Whitesboro, Texas to William Boyett Sanders and Amber Brown Sanders. She married Duard D. Harris on March 10, 1948 in Wellington, TX, they moved to Castro County in 1955 and lived in the Hart and Dimmitt area for 60 years until her husband passed away on February 13, 1971. She married P. L. Hoyler on November 15, 1972 in Sunnyside, Texas, he passed away on April 9, 2000. Pauline became a licensed vocational nurse and worked for Dr. B. H. Lee and Plains Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2000. Pauline was a devoted mother, grandmother, GG, and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt. Pauline was active in the Dimmitt community during her retirement. She volunteered with Helping Hands, the Castro County Fair Committee and was active with the Dimmitt Senior Citizens Center. Pauline loved her family, friends, and living in Dimmitt. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Duard D. Harris, her second husband P. L. Hoyler. Four brothers: Clinton Sanders, Allen Troy Sanders, J.L. Sanders and Eddie Sanders, Three Sisters: Muriel Fincher, Billie Barfield, Jean Hedrick and one step-daughter LaTrell Hoyler. Pauline is survived by her three children: David Harris and wife Debbie of Pearland, Paula Portwood and husband Tommy of Dimmitt, Stanley Harris and wife Kathy of Lubbock. 1 step-son Eugene Hoyler and wife Velma of San Antonio and 1 step-daughter Bobbie Ralls of Colorado Spring, Colorado. 1 sister: Jessie Orr of Tulia, 2 brothers: James Sanders and wife Pat of Tulia, and Eldon Sanders and wife Florene of Levelland. 12 grandchildren: Rochelle Black, Brent Portwood, Bryan Portwood, Kristina Butts, Deidrea Mabry, Amber Roos, Lori Hoyler-Shumann, Mark Ralls, Michael Deutsch, Bentley Pollard, Justin Pollard and Kelsey Keeser 17 great grandchildren.
