Gwendelyn (Gwen) Bryant, 78, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1:00PM in the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Pastor Jonathan Sullivan officiating.  Memorial service has been entrusted to the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Gwendelyn (Gwen) Bryant was born on July 24, 1939 in Sunray, Texas to Benjamin Samuel Arthur and Verna Merle (Knapp) Arthur.  Gwen married Marvin Bryant on August 23, 1958 in Oklahoma.  Gwen has been a resident of Dimmitt, Texas since 1976 and had worked for Cargill for 22 years in the Human Resource Department.  Gwen was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, member of the Plains Memorial Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, President of the Castro County Senior Citizens and a former President of the American Cancer Society.  She enjoyed spending time at their home in Eagles Nest, fishing, playing card games with friends but most of all enjoyed watching her son coach and spending time with family along with her two precious grandchildren.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Marvin Bryant of Dimmitt, TX, son, Bruce Bryant and wife Monica of Canadian, TX, sister Jo Wilson, of Fritch, TX, mother-in-law, Pauline Bryant of Pampa, TX and two grandchildren, Bailey Bryant and Ben Bryant of Canadian, TX.
