Enrique "Henry" Aldape, son of Enrique Aldape and Margarita (Fierro) Aldape, was born in Cd Juarez, Mexico on October 5, 1967, and departed this life October 17, 2022, in Tampa Bay, Florida, at the age of fifty-five years.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 2:00PM at Hillside Christian Church (West Campus Chapel) with Pastor Chris Condit officiating. Services are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.
Henry moved to Amarillo, Texas at the age of 7 years old and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1986. While at Tascosa he wrestled for the wresting team where he always loved to be rough. Shortly after graduating from high school, he became employed as an engineer with Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) where in November of this year would have been his 30-year anniversary. Henry had more hobbies than anyone at the age of 55, he was a big kid that never slowed down. There was never an adventure that he would not try. He loved the outdoors and was an adrenaline junkie, the faster he could go the better. He always said, "momentum is your friend." Henry always loved a challenge, but what he loved more is how he could over come any challenge in life because he was "Spartacus" or just plain magical. Henry loved having a girlfriend that was the female version of him, who would join him on any wild adventure and never say no to any crazy idea he had on the way. Henry was giving and always willing to help anyone and everyone he could if they needed his help. As we all know, Henry never met a stranger, and his smile would light up the room. He enjoyed listening to music, but never knew any of the words to the songs he was listening to. He was also not the best at spelling, but he had his own way of spelling and he expected everyone to know what he meant in his T9 messages from his flip phone. Henry was the true definition of a LEGEND. He never missed one single moment of life, and he soaked up every second of it.
Henry loved his kids so much he would drop his entire life to help or just hangout with them. He loved life and life loved him.
Henry is survived by his mother, Margarita Aldape and Fernando Hernandez of Odessa, TX, girlfriend, Teresa Gonzales of Amarillo, TX, three daughters, Shelbee Aldape of Dallas, TX, Alyx Aldape of Dallas, TX, and Valeria Aldape of Juarez, MX, one son, Adam Aldape of Amarillo, TX, two sisters, Aida Aldape of Amarillo, TX and Ayde Marrufo and husband Jaime of Amarillo, TX along with nieces and nephews.
Those that preceded Henry in death are his father, Enrique Aldape, sister, Araceli Aldape and brother, Sergio Aldape.
